Fingering Weight Beginner’s Dye Kit
$65.00
Ever wanted to try to dye your own yarn? I now have beginner’s dye kits!
Included in the kit are 2 skeins of undyed fingering weight yarn, and 2 carefully currated ouces of dye powder. I have gone through my dye stash and put together pairings of dye colors that I felt would coordinate well.
Pro Tip: Start with the lighter color, then the darker color for best effects.
Caution: When handling dyes, it’s recommended to use personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and a well ventilated room. It’s also good to make sure that the equipment you use to dye the yarn is used ONLY for the dye process. Do not use them for food later.
These dyes do not need extra acid to set, but if the dyes are not exahausting well enough, adding in a splash of vineager will help.
Colors in the gallery may not be exact in real life. The gallery photos are representative and may vary depending on computer or phone screens.
These kits include an exclusive link to a short lesson showing my resistence dyeing technique. It’s perfect for these color combinations!
